I am attempting to revive my standalone dvr unit that i bricked by uploading the uboot.bin file, via hyperterminal connected to serial port, without specifying a memory address. The board has 2 boot modes EMULATION BOOT & NAND BOOT. It is set for NAND BOOT MODE. below are the specs of the dvr unit.

i messed up the boot loader by sending uboot.img file to incorrect memory address. the maufacturer has sent me this picture about setting boot mode. he did not explain it to me though.

if you prev. made a u-boot dump so you need a programmer flash and restote boot. It's more quiker!

If you remember, when last time (20150506) i remote connect to you NVR (you boot was live) and manualy start kernel that i extract from firmware, ш save same data.
Today i check it, and i find in firmware - the original u-boot loader!!!
So it posible to restore it

i sent the board to the manufacturer in korea, to have it repaired. ill update when i get the board back

so i have the new board installed and it came with the latest firmware. id still like to extract the root console password from the firmware, like we initially had began to do.
